Good advice, but some companies will prefer to train someone like that graduate who doesn't know shit than to have someone that knows there shit, but has the worst attitude you've ever dealt with.

You are better off filming at 29.97fps asbthat is really what YouTube shows at. I see all these channels that are like" Ep:2. Filmed in 60fps" and the video still looks the same. My suggestion is use the setting (if you have it) 29.97fps. My gaming channel which I'm not saying as I'm not being accused of advertising, all my videos are filmed at that speed and a few of us YouTubers actually did tests to find out. Hopefully this help for future videos. Thanks for the info

Seeing as pretty much all the information regarding computer science on the web is in English. I would say that, to become a succesful engineer it is almost required to know English to engineer. So if you are going to study Computer Science, study English alongside with it.

Honestly, you can get any job you want as long as you never stop talking. Skills/knowledge are VERY secondary to the ability to talk and talk and talk and never let anyone realize that you can't do anything but talk. Cynical, and perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but sadly too true.

When you go for a software dev or any kind of related role they actually test your skills big time, so you can't really get through by bullshitting lol.

I really liked the content of this video. I really like Android, but I'm not very experienced with actual development, so this helps me realize what direction I need to head in

Great video, sound could do with a little work. Also a little summary at the end would be nice, would prepare me for the outro aswell instead of simply cutting to it from an interview

Hrm, I'm going to have to disagree…with a lot of what it said. I'm sure I"ll take flak, but whatever. This is a VERY specific niche for Android. People are just generalizing the piss out of it "resumes don't mean anything" "don't focus on grades" – etc. That's possible because of the free dev culture in Android. If you try applying to MS or Apple or IBM with just "something neat", and no degree nor even decent resume to back that up – chances are, unless it's earth shattering, you cont.

won't get that job. Now that's not to say resume and such means everything, it certainly doesn't, and people are certainly hired by what they've done…but this video seems to stretch it a bit thin. I mean the title is boarder-line BS. They do work on the internet, maybe not so much in Android app dev because there's *generally* a lower skill set…but if you want to make graphics drivers for Nvidia for Android then showing them a nifty app isn't going to get you a job…2 different levels…

Its an interesting approach. I do think that companies get excited about something unique that they get 'hacked' into viewing, but its probably best that you have a solid resume and/or portfolio to back it up.

This definitely got me thinking about changing my approach in job hunting.
